Leon Wasser MBA, P.Eng. has extensive experience in the management for facilities and property. For 18 years he served in a series of progressively more responsible property management roles at York University beginning as a Facility Planner for the university. He quickly rose to be the Executive Assistent to the VP of the new Physical Resources Group which was created to oversea the planning a redevelopment of the the university in conjuction with the York University Development Corporation. He then served as Business Manager for the university’s Glendon Campus where he increaseds revenues and net income dramatically. Following this he was recruited back to the main university campus to undertake a turnaround operation for the new but troubled 120,000 square foot York Lanes retail and office complex. Based on his success at York Lanes Leon’s porfolio was expanded to include all the university commercial facilities including recreational facilities (Beatice Ice Gardens & The National Tennis Centre), Research Facilities (Farquharson Life Science Building Innovation York incubator centre and the commercial Computer Methods Building) as well as university public advertising, campus newspaper distribution, vending machine and ATM operations.
